Tienosuke Otani was a Japanese marxist and Professor Emeritus at Hosei University. Otani is best known for his contributions to the understanding of Marx's theory of interest bearing capital. Otani believed that the way Engels edited parts of Vol 3 of Capital made it difficult for readers to understand Marx's intent:<br />
