Welcome to Leftypedia!
The radical encyclopedia
Leftypedia is an online English language socialist encyclopedia dedicated to providing a coherent platform about leftist politics. We want to demystify what we believe to be one of the most misunderstood ideologies, either for people who believe left-wing theoretical texts are too dense to read or those who have strong opinions about it without having read anything by prominent leftist thinkers. We hope to provide explanations that are readily comprehensible and for our knowledge to grow as you become a part of it. In short, our aim is to let the left-wing movement do the talking, and for us to expound upon it.

Things to do
If you are unsure on where to contribute, try starting here:
- Stubs: Articles that need additional work.
- Short pages: The shortest articles on the wiki.
- Articles that need rewriting: Articles that contain issues in their content.
- Articles with insufficient sources: Articles that need more or better references.
- Articles with slanted statements: Articles that need to be rewritten in a way that's more considerate of different leftist traditions.
- Articles that need creation: Non-existent articles that users have suggested be created.
- Broken redirects: A better alternative to the Wanted Pages page. Sorted alphabetically, but clearly shows how many redirects exist for each page.
- Wanted pages: Non-existent articles that are being linked to most often. Currently cluttered with links due to imported data from Wikipedia. View at your own risk.
Beyond this, you can:
- Patrol the recent changes page to find recent additions to copyedit or expand upon.
- Adapt entries from the Marxists Internet Archive Encyclopedia to the wiki format.
- If you do, please add Template:MIAE at the beginning of the references section at the bottom of the page.
- Be careful that the entry you're adapting is fit for Leftypedia. If there are issues that you can't immediately resolve, add a template indicating this (e.g. Template:Rewrite, Template:Slanted).
- Expand our lists of internet resources.
