The capaability won't gain much attention besides technology circles until around the late 2010s and 2020s that AI gain high attention following the popularity of generative AI. OpenAI and several mega-corporations who ulitized the technology are noted to the AI boom that sparks tons of discussions on it beyond technology circles.
