The state is an apparatus of power which consists of political, legislative, judiciary, military, police, and financial institutions, among others. It serves to maintain armed control over the people and resources, and does so on behalf of a government, which consists of governors who can created laws, impose taxes, and really make use of social power. There are varieties of states such as monarchy and republic. Despite its multiple flaws, many civilians look upon the state as moral.[1]
